From January 6 to 10, President and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Gao Xiang visited Hong Kong, with President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Academician Teng Jinguang, President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Lu Yuming, Vice President of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Wang Yang, Vice President of the University of Hong Kong Gong Peng met and conducted special research and in-depth exchanges on subject development, internationalization strategy and other contents, and reached a consensus on the attracting and nurturing of high-end talents.
Gao Xiang and his delegation visited the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and introduced the development of Zhejiang University of Technology in recent years to Minister of Education and Science Wang Weiming and Vice Minister Wu Cheng.
Gao Xiang and his party went to the Zhejiang Provincial Business Representative Office in Hong Kong and the Beijing-Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center for investigation, and had in-depth discussions on how to better utilize the existing platform and deepen friendly exchanges and cooperation between the mainland and Hong Kong.
Gao Xiang was also invited to attend the first International Digital Intelligent Source Conference (ICDIES 2025) and gave a keynote speech.
