On the morning of September 12th, our school held the opening ceremony for the 2013 freshmen class in the stadium of Pingfeng Campus. Our leaders, many teachers, all freshmen, our new graduates and some parents attended.
Our president Zhang Libing addressed the ceremony, expressing his warm welcome and best wishes to more than 7200 freshmen. President Zhang said that in the first day of school he visited every registration location and took part in the party for all freshmen. During the conversation with freshmen, he deeply felt their expectation for college life. He also said “From now on, I will learn and live with all of you in this big family of Zhejaing University of Technology.”
Mei Xinlin, the secretary of the party committee of our school, announced the names of top students who won scholarships. Additional speakers at the ceremony included Professor Qiu Feiyue, representative for all teachers, Sun Yiming, representative for current students, and Chen Juefan, freshmen representative.
